Try something new....for our "2013 Majors Results" page, we have added the same functionality that the weather box uses so you can receive a text message with the result and highlights as they are posted.

To do so, simply send a text message to 40404 that reads "follow cllscores".  That's short for Colonie Little League Scores.

As soon as the Majors game results and highlights are posted, they will display on the 2013 Majors Result page and you will receive a text message with the same information.

Give it a try and let us know what you think at colonielittleleague@gmail.com.

Note that applicable text message rules from your cell carrier apply.  Kids, please check with your parents before adding this feature.

So SAVE the Date....click here to access the flier to sign-up or grab one from the large concession stand. 

The fliers will be available beginning Wednesday, May 22nd at the concession stand.

Also, 

Saturday, June 22, 2013 is the date for the T-Ball and Junior Pee Wee year end ceremony. 

The times will be from 10-11:30 am for T-Ball and 12-1:30pm for Junior Pee Wee.

More details will follow as the time draws closer.

International Division Kudos

Cook Park's International Field was the site of a very rare occurrence on Monday, May 20...a no-hitter. What made it even more uncommon was that it took 10 days to complete! Guidarelli Wine's Joshua Slater, Vincent Tirino, and Jared Zalucky combined for the gem in a 9-2 win over Eastern Heating and Cooling.

It started on Saturday, May 11, with 1 2/3 no-hit innings from Slater. Unfortunately, the skies opened up and rain forced the game to be stopped. It was resumed on Monday, May 20, with Tirino tossing 3 1/3 no-hit innings in relief of Slater. Jared Zalucky closed it out by striking out the side in a perfect top of the sixth.

Congratulations on a great accomplishment!!

Friday, June 28th at The Joe....

 Team Parents, Coaches, and Managers;

 
Please join us for Colonie Little League night (<- click here to access flier) on June 28th at Joe Bruno Stadium as the ValleyCats host Youth Baseball Night.  The ValleyCats will be giving away great prizes to the leagues in attendance that night.  Come out and show your support for the ValleyCats and help us represent Colonie Little League.   Please see the attached flyer for the promotions and giveaway.  Tickets are $5.50 each.  This night is sold out and we have a limited number of tickets.  Tickets will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.

Colonie Little League and the ValleyCats are forming a great partnership.  Prior to the start of this season the ValleyCats sent their Stadium Operations Manager to the fields to work with our field maintenance crews on tips and products to help us keep our fields looking good and safe.  They will also be helping us in the fall as we look to make field renovations. 

We are asking each team parent to take the lead on organizing how many coaches, players and parents will be attending this game.  If you could please fill out this  (<- click here to launch spreadsheet) attached spreadsheet for your team and send it back to Jasonlecuyer@tcvalleycats.com. 

Once the sheets are returned the tickets will be distributed.  Checks can be made out to the Tri-City ValleyCats or cash will also be accepted.   Please let me know if you have any additional questions.  I can be reached by email or on my cell phone.

Congrats to Maple Tree Funding for turning a triple play....here's how it went down....bases were loaded.....no outs.......a hard line drive hit to first base that was caught by Brendan Coyle who stepped on firstbase for the second out and fired the baseball over to Joe Flynn at thirdbase to complete the triple play......nice work team on a rare play...with even rarer results...well done.

Congrats to Joey Mendrick for launching a homerun over the Centerfield flagpole last night for VFW...way to go Joe!!!

It's finally here...Spring Baseball opening day 2013!!!!!!

Our parade for the players and Coaches begins at 9:00 am sharp.  Please leave yourself time to drop your player off and return to the park so you don't miss the march to the field or the photo opportunities.

Once the players and Coaches reach the Major division field, they will enter the field and surround the infield and the ceremonies will begin.

A very special Thank You to Shop Rite for all that they have done for Colonie Little League already and for all that they plan to do in the future...please support Shop Rite as they have sure supported Colonie Little League.

Our Opening Day programs will be available at the Park but can also be located by clicking here.  Thank you to Guilderland Printing for doing an awesome job, once again on our programs.
